Abstract submission is now closed and authors have been notified about the committee’s decisions.

The programme is now available although minor changes may be made until the start of the conference.

Registration

Online registration is now closed. Registration will open again at the conference on Monday morning at 08:00.

Fees

The registration fee (see below) includes admission to all sessions of ICAM 2017 for the whole conference (5 days) or one day (single-day package, excluding the excursion and conference dinner). Lower registration rates apply for students. Drinks and snacks during the breaks, lunches and admission to the icebreaker party are included in the registration fee. Also included is the excursion in the afternoon-evening of the Wednesday to Borgarfjörður and the conference dinner. On the way we will introduce the mountains that have great impact on peoples life in SW-Iceland, although not of Alpine scale, visit Deildartunguhver, one of Europe’s most active springs, which water is used for central heating in the nearby towns, Reykholt which is one of Iceland’s most notable historical sites and the spectacular waterfall Hraunfossar where surface water falls in an almost kilometer wide waterfall into the glacier river Hvítá. The conference dinner will on the way back at Hlaðir in Hvalfjörður.

EMS Young Scientist Award

The European Meteorological Society is kindly offering to support one student to attend ICAM. The deadline of application was 1 April. Their website, icam-ysta contains all information about eligibility and application procedure.

One day excursion on 24 June

On the Saturday after the conference, 24 June, we are planning an additional one day excursion to the south of Iceland to the home of Eyjafjallajökull Glacier and other active volcanoes. If  you are interested in sightseeing with us that day, make sure to include it in your travelling plans. Information on the excursion can be found in Programme.
